From Bilbao with love

It’s been a month since my return from Spain, and I am still trying to summarize all the impressions. You can say that I experienced love at first sight. I had the feeling that I had been there before or perhaps I experienced deja vu. This trip was definitely special because it was the first time that a husband and I travel without kids. Because of the school and kindergartens, they stayed home with my mother-in-law. And they had a great time without Mom. But still I had a „little“ panic attack, and the feeling of guilt that I left them, but we definitely deserved to have a few days for ourselves. Every parent can agree on that.

Bilbao is definitely a city that will take your breath away. The only complaint is that only a small number of people understand English. But it is enough for you to have a google map, and you will be good to go.

We tried to do a walking tour of the whole city, which is not easy so we can experience all the things the city has to offer. That was a bit of a challenge because we only had 3 or 4 days. And the thing that I loved the most is that the whole city is adapted to parents with young children, and people with disabilities. I mean talking about inclusion in the best way possible. Wherever you have stairs, you also have an elevator, something that definitely moms would be happy about, because we all know the struggle of carrying the stroller down the stairs.

One of the things we just had to visit was the Guggenheim Museum, and the experience was priceless. The only problem is that you can’t really take pictures inside the museum, but I don’t blame them. You can take pictures outside and in just one room inside. And if you ever get the chance to visit the city, don’t forget to visit Museum, you can thank me later ;-).

One more thing that I find very useful is that you have free Wi-fi in every park in the city. Which is amazing.

I can tell you that there was definitely plenty of walking, and I snap like a million pictures. The only problem was that at the end of the day we had soreness in our muscles, but thank God that we had MG direct so we could get rid of the pain. I definitely need to thank my husband for patience while I was trying to photograph everything I see. And he definitely turned out to be a great photographer.

I struggle to find the right words that would explain to you just how magical Bilbao is, but since a picture is worth a 1000 words, I will insert you some of the pictures I took. I hope you enjoy them.

Until the next time my angels
