This is probably one of my favorite recipes, it is so delicious, and yet so easy to make. My kids love Moussaka and always ask for more. So, I wanted to share with you the recipe I use whenever I make Moussaka. I also included pictures of all the steps I did to make it perfect.
300 g Mincemeat
3 Spring onions
50 ml of milk
100 g Shraded cheese
-Preheat the oven to 180 degrees celsius.
-Pour a spoon full of vegetable oil in your pan, and add meat, carrots, and onions.
-When the meat is cooked, add tomato juice and bolognese spice mix, and cook for about 15 minutes.
-While the meat is simmering, slice potatoes, and layer them in two layers in your casserole dish., and don’t forget to add a little bit of vegetable oil in a casserole dish before putting potatoes in. Make 2 layers of potatoes, making sure to cover all the gaps between them.
-Pour bolognese sauces over the potatoes and add another layer of potatoes on top.
-Cover Moussaka with aluminum foil, and let it bake for about 45 minutes.
-When it’s almost done, take it out of the oven and cover it with a mix of eggs, milk, and seasonings. And put it back in the oven, and let it bake without cover.
-After another 5 mintes, take it out and add shredded cheese on top, and bake until cheese is completely melted, and starts getting golden color.
