To all new moms

Dear mama, it’s ok if…
You adore your new bundle of joy, but you feel lonely at the same time.
You let your baby cry for a few minutes so you can shower.
Your house is a mess because you need to eat, sleep or breastfeed instead of clean.
Your body needs time to heal.
You „aren’t in the mood“ after just having a baby.
You don’t want visitors during nap time. It’s ok to feel like you don’t know what you are doing. But believe me, you got this.
It’s ok to feel overwhelmed. We all felt that way when we first become mothers.
It’s ok to feel sad. Your body is going through a lot of changes. Some women go through postpartum depression, and you should not feel embarrassed about it. But instead, talk to someone. You are not alone.
It’s ok to go through all those emotions.
And if nobody told this, you are a great mama, amazing wife, and you got this. It’s only going to get easier from here on. I promise you. So give your self a break, don’t be so hard on yourself. Relax and enjoy this crazy ride.
